The First Mirror of the Choir — SR-0128
The first of the million mirrors that turned a library into a beam.
The Choir girdled the dark world Ennis with a lattice of mirrors, each backed with resonant crystal, all fed by the swollen light of Vael. Together they could shape a library into a single coherent beam.
This is the first mirror, set on the pole of Ennis in 390 BE. It is the reason we can see them at all.
Mirror figure is coherent to λ/40 at 393 nm — the Ca II K line the Institute uses as the colour of the Encoding.
Integrity 86%. Resonant mirror, lattice-backed. ⌀ 3.4 m.
