Garden Vessel of Sollen — SR-0103
A water jar spun in low gravity, impossibly thin, from the ring gardens.
In the ring gardens, potters spun their vessels in near-weightlessness, which let them draw the walls thinner than any Ithris potter could. This jar is almost translucent.
It carried water between the garden terraces. Its shape is the Keeper’s Vessel of the Age of Lanterns, stretched by a world with almost no gravity.
Wall thickness transmitted as 0.4 mm. The Institute’s ceramicists have not been able to reproduce it.
Integrity 80%. Spun ring-ice ceramic. 34 × 22 cm.
