Carrow Telescope Mirror — SR-0097
A segment from the light-telescopes of Carrow, the world that always faced its star.
Carrow was tidally locked: one face burned, the other froze, and a band of permanent twilight ran between them. On that band the Ithra built their great telescopes, where the ground never moved and the sky never changed.
This mirror segment was part of the largest of them. When Vael swelled and Carrow was engulfed, the mirror was still pointing outward.
Figure and coating reconstructed; the grinding pattern carries a maker’s mark in pulse-script: “for seeing further”.
Integrity 63%. Silvered glass segment. ⌀ 1.8 m.
