Mask of the Unlit Generation — SR-0079

Worn by children born during the Schism, who had never seen the far shore lit.

Seventeen hundred turns into the Schism, a generation came of age that had never seen the opposite coast illuminated. Their elders made them masks with no eye-holes, only small perforations, so that the children would learn to see by pinpricks of light.

When the Accord was signed and both shores lit in a single night, the masks were taken off together.

The perforation pattern is a star chart of the southern sky of Ithris.
